Role Overview
Our client is seeking a dynamic Director of Business Development to spearhead sales initiatives aimed at home builders and developers in the Mid-Atlantic region. This pivotal role will focus on fostering relationships with clients while driving growth in new construction and large-scale B2B opportunities. You will collaborate closely with leadership to enhance and expand the new construction team and its offerings while managing existing customer pipelines and building your own business.
Responsibilities
- Build and Expand Networks with Home Builders:
- Establish and nurture relationships with top home builders to create and secure sales opportunities.
- Attend industry and regional events to engage potential clients and strengthen your professional network.
- Utilize existing connections to uncover new opportunities and foster deeper relationships within established accounts.
- Collaborate with the Sales Engineering Team to Develop Winning Proposals:
- Partner with the sales engineering team to craft compelling and technically sound proposals aligned with client needs.
- Gather and analyze technical information to ensure project designs meet client expectations and strategic goals.
- Create innovative project designs that are both technically robust and financially viable.
- Incorporate client financial requirements into proposals to maintain competitiveness.
- Work with the Policy Team to Optimize Rebates:
- Stay informed about available project rebates and communicate these effectively to clients.
- Build client confidence in leveraging rebates for financial planning and proposals.
- Achieve and Surpass Sales Targets:
- Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Close deals that contribute significantly to the company’s growth and success.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in an enterprise sales role.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
- Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year university (honors preferred).
