Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Founding Head of Sales to spearhead their sales strategy, catalyze revenue growth, and broaden their market reach. The ideal candidate will develop and execute an effective sales strategy, pinpoint key market segments, refine the company's value proposition, and establish robust sales processes to ensure predictable revenue streams.
Responsibilities
- During the first 3 months, operate as an individual contributor to close deals, assimilate into the product and selling approach, and develop a sales playbook.
- Post-initial period, build and lead a high-performing sales team, responsible for recruiting, training, and managing account executives and sales development representatives.
- Collaborate closely with the founders as a core member of the founding leadership team, focusing on go-to-market strategy and revenue targets while influencing product direction based on customer feedback.
- Develop and implement sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance metrics to support revenue growth.
- Create and enhance sales enablement materials, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning.
- Play a critical role in cultivating company culture as it scales.
- Establish and optimize sales processes to drive predictable revenue growth.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of scaling revenue from $5M to $20M.
- Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and enterprise SaaS, especially within document-heavy industries such as legal, finance, insurance, and healthcare.
- Proficient in CRM systems, with a strong focus on forecasting and revenue operations.
- Experience in building both outbound and inbound sales processes, as well as creating sales playbooks from scratch.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with an emphasis on storytelling and value selling to technical stakeholders.
- High sense of ownership, a collaborative mindset, and comfort in ambiguous environments.
